THE FOCUS IS ON YOUR HEALTH AND WELL-BEING THROUGH YOUR TISSUE

 

Resistance Stretching comes from Resistance Flexibility and Strength Training (RFST) that was developed by Bob Cooley in response to his need to recover from injuries sustained when he was hit by a car. It utilizes his discovery that one must continuously contract muscles while lengthening them to produce a change in flexibility.

RFST applies this concept using the vocabulary of Traditional Chinese Medicine meridians and movements which often appear yoga like, but are as infinitely adaptable as human movement itself.

Practicing RFST changes tissues, addressing pain, impingement, and accessing a new experience in which physical movement is a portal to other aspects of being.

Applying principles of balancing and opposing muscles, and paying keen attention to the body’s signals about where and how it has coped with life’s challenges, RFST demands individuals accept their authority over their own body, and empowers them to author their well being.  For more detailed information about Resistance Stretching techniques, click here.

 

This weekend will combine assisted stretching sessions, which participants are welcome to observe and participate in, and a class room session in which the basic information and self stretches are shared. 

 

Detailed Schedule:

Saturday:

Five 2-hour blocks starting at 8 AM

8AM, 10AM, 1PM, 3PM, 5PM

Sunday:
Five 2-hour blocks starting at 8 AM

8AM, 10AM, 1PM, 3PM, 5PM

Each stretching session is $120.00.  Each of the 2 hour blocks of stretching will have no more than 90 minutes of actual stretch time.
